CNN has a video report about a two-year old girl who was erroneously called for jury duty in Massachusetts. Oops! The father involved unpersuasively tries to make it something bigger than an amusing error – “To you it’s just a little card, to me it represents thousands of dollars” of government waste. Puh-leese. Just save the summons it for her scrapbook and lighten up.
Still, as the parent of a toddler myself, it makes for an amusing image. "Okay, Kaylee, no pushing. Use your words. NO, Kaylee, no hitting either. We'll all get a turn to talk. You're a big girl, now use your words and tell us why you think the defendant isn't guilty."
This is amusing, but it makes one wonder what records MA uses to select its jury pools from.
